The courtyard in four seasons
How our central garden shifts colour and mood through the year — and why we leave it unlit after dusk.

The courtyard at Parallel Sunday was designed as a room without a ceiling. In spring, magnolia petals collect along the stone paths; in summer, the fountain runs at half volume so conversation carries. Autumn brings copper beech leaves that we sweep once each morning, deliberately — the scatter is part of the composition.
Winter is the season guests mention most. Frost outlines each planter box, and the bare branches frame the upper windows like charcoal sketches. We do not floodlight the space. A single path of low lamps guides the way back to the lobby, nothing more.
If you arrive in January, ask for a courtyard-facing suite. The silence at 07:00 is its own amenity.
